5. Restrictions on Disclosing Information to Unaffiliated Parties
We respect the privacy of our customers and do not reveal personal or transactional information to companies that are not affiliated with us for their independent use unless the disclosed information is:

  • requested or authorized by you, the customer;
  • required to complete a customer initiated transaction;
  • an exchange of information with a reputable information reporting agency (such as a credit bureau);
  • to comply with a legal action (such as a subpoena or court order), as required by regulation during an exam, or by statute;
  • to facilitate bona fide bank business

6.Maintaining Customer Privacy in Third Party Relationships
At times it may be necessary to provide customer information to parties we hire to support our products and services (such as the company who prints your checks or one that prepares your statement). South Adams Savings Bank will require that these companies agree to adhere to the same high standards of confidentiality that we hold, and that they maintain privacy principles that will protect and safeguard your confidential information.
